Everything DFW homeowners want to know before hiring a painting contractor — with straight, honest answers.
Transparent pricing. No hidden fees. Ever.
Yes, completely free and zero obligation. We come out, walk through your project, answer your questions, and send you a detailed written quote — usually within 24–48 hours.
No. Initial consultations, estimates, and color consultations are always free for residential projects in the DFW area.
For most residential projects, we require a small deposit to reserve your spot on our schedule and cover material costs. The balance is due upon completion and your satisfaction with the final walkthrough.
We accept credit and debit cards, cash, and most major digital payment methods (Zelle, Venmo).
How we handle every project from call to completion.
Most projects can start within 1–2 weeks of estimate approval. Peak season (spring and fall) can push lead times to 3 weeks.
Great paint jobs are 70% prep, 30% painting. For interior: protecting floors and furniture, patching holes, sanding rough spots, caulking gaps, priming stains or bare surfaces, and taping every edge. For exterior: power washing, scraping loose paint, sanding, caulking, priming bare wood, and protecting landscaping.
We work with a small, trusted group of painters — some part of our direct crew, others independent contractors we've partnered with on dozens of projects. Either way, every person on your job is someone we know personally, have worked with for years, and stand behind. You'll know who's coming and what to expect.
We take care to treat your home like our own, and damage of any kind is rare. If something does happen, just let us know — we'll work with you to make it right. We're not the kind of company that hides behind paperwork; we'll handle it directly and fairly.
Yes — thoroughly. We clean up daily while the job is in progress and do a complete final cleanup before we leave.
Everything about painting the inside of your home.
Yes. We use low-VOC paints safe for families and pets, and we work room-by-room so you always have a livable space.
Please remove small items, fragile decor, and personal valuables. We handle moving larger furniture away from walls and covering it with clean drop cloths.
It depends on the job. Some surfaces need a primer plus two coats; others — especially with the premium Sherwin-Williams paints we use, many of which include built-in primer — only need a single coat for great coverage. Bigger color changes (like dark-to-light) typically need more. We'll assess what your specific project actually needs during the estimate and include everything in the quote so there are no surprises.
Technically yes, but we strongly recommend removing it first for the best long-term result. Painting over wallpaper can lead to bubbling, peeling, and visible seams.
Absolutely. Flat ceilings, vaulted ceilings, textured (popcorn) ceilings, and coffered ceilings. We can also remove popcorn ceiling texture as a separate service.
The unique challenges of painting in the Texas climate.
October through early May offers the best conditions — cooler temperatures and lower humidity. Paint needs 50°F–90°F with low humidity to cure properly.
With quality paint and proper prep, 8–12 years. Homes with heavy west-facing sun exposure may see closer to 7–8. UV damage is the main culprit.
Yes. Brick and stucco painting requires specific masonry-grade primers and breathable finish coats. It's a bigger decision than standard painting — once brick is painted, it requires maintenance long-term.
We'll provide all the paint samples, color codes, and documentation you need to submit for HOA approval. You handle the submission (it has to come from the homeowner).
The highest-ROI upgrade in your kitchen.
In most cases, yes — especially if your cabinet boxes are structurally sound. Replacement means demolition, weeks without a kitchen, and a major budget hit. Refinishing delivers the same visual transformation in a fraction of the time, without the disruption. Every kitchen is different, though — we'll come out and give you a free quote so you can compare.
Yes, when done properly. We use commercial-grade cabinet enamels that cure hard and resist chips, stains, and cleaning chemicals.
Solid wood: ideal and easy. Laminate and thermofoil: yes, with specific bonding primers. MDF: yes, excellent results. Melamine: possible but requires extensive prep.
Mostly no. Doors and drawer fronts are removed and refinished offsite while the cabinet boxes are done in place. You might lose full use for 1–2 days during the heaviest work.
The products we trust and why.
Sherwin-Williams. We use it exclusively because it consistently delivers superior coverage, durability, and color retention — and the local stores know our crew and our finish standards. For specialty projects, we may bring in specific Sherwin-Williams product lines (Cashmere, Emerald, ProClassic) to match the job's needs.
Yes. We offer premium low-VOC and zero-VOC options, including Sherwin-Williams Harmony — formulated for low odor and minimal off-gassing, ideal for nurseries, bedrooms, and anyone sensitive to paint fumes.
Yes, we can use your paint — but we strongly prefer to supply the paint. We get professional pricing, know the specific products that work best, and guarantee the quality to get the best possible outcome.
Absolutely. Free color consultation is part of every project. We'll help you think through lighting, existing finishes, furniture, and the mood you're going for.
